National Day of Prayer for Nigeria

On the 1st of October, Nigeria will be 48. Due to this I was led to start the first Nigeria’s National Day of Prayer (NANDP). The reason for this National Day of Prayer (which will continue every 1st of October), as I was told is for personal repentance, intercession for every sector of the nation.

The theme for this first National Day of Prayer is “REVIVE US FOR FLIGHT”. Us here means we as individuals and Nigeria as a whole. What we are going to do is to set at least one hour of our time on the 1st of October to pray for revival. You might want to add fasting to it. We will choose a particular hour to ask for repentance on our part and for Nigeria at large. Also, we will pray for revival in the entire sector of the Nigeria’ government.

Text: I Sam 3:11
- God is set to change Nigeria from the commonplace to the uncommon and from the ordinary to the extraordinary.

This prayer for revival will not end on the 1st, it will continue throughout the month of October.

This is a sacrifice on our own part. We shall all see our prayers come to a reality. We will be praying for revival for a group of seven different things as listed below:

- Thursday (Oct 2, 9, 16, 23, 30): Prayer for the President, the Governors, the local government chairman.
- Friday (Oct 3, 10, 17, 24, 31): Prayer for the Federal Ministries and State Ministries.
- Saturday (Oct 4, 11, 18, 25): Prayer for the Education Sector, Media Sector and the Economy Sector.
- Sunday (Oct 5, 12, 19, 26): Prayer for the Churches in Nigeria, Our Family, Our neighbours, Our Friends, the less privileged, the Orphans etc
- Monday (Oct 6, 13, 20, 27): Prayer for the Agricultural Sector, the Banking Sector and the Oil and Gas Sector.
- Tuesday (Oct 7, 14, 21, 28): Prayer for Science and Technology Sector, Political Sector and the Military Men
- Wednesday (Oct 8, 15, 22, 29): Prayer for the rising of great minds for divine ideas, innovation and creativity.

Note: Please search for relevant scriptures to pray with and also get GWG (Green With Green) i.e Nigerian Flag in handy while praying.

May the good Lord answer our prayers and may He takes us as a nation for flight that what it took so many years for other nations to attain, we will attain and surpass in few years (Amen).

To the greatness of our nation…you are welcome on board
